Sorting of qualities

After planing, the products are sorted manually. Despite thorough inspection, elements of other quality class may occur in the any given class, max. 5%. We deliver the planks in both radial and tangential cut. This may influence the dimensional and shape modifications of the floor. The appearance of the wood is unchanging.

SAMPLE BOOK OF PUTTY TONES

  • In this sample book, you will find specimens of colours for knot cementation; the top line shows surface treatment with Naturel oil.
  • The bottom line is without surface treatment.
  • Colours of putties for the respective tones listed in the price list.

SMOKY TONES

Important notice: The may be larger colour variations in smoky tones (smoky white, mildly smoky, cathedral, deeply smoky).

During ammonia fuming, a certain amount of ammoniac is added in the ammoniac chamber to react with the tanning agent contained in the oak. The planks get darker colour in this process. Due to the fact that each plank contains a different amount of tanning agents, it is impossible to guarantee colour uniformity to the customer. Esco Company only uses ammonia fuming on the surface, up to the depth of +- 2 mm. These colour variations – differences in ammonia-fumed floors are not a reason to file claims.
